Jacks Continue Reign Of 8AAA

Warren 13 - McGehee 8

By Rob Reep

The Warren Lumberjack baseball team finished a wonderful conference season with a record of 8-0. The Jacks defeated the McGehee Owls by the score of 13-8 on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 to clinch the championship.

Bryan Church got the start on the mound for the Jacks. He went five innings for the home team. Church surrendered six runs. Daniel Robinson came in as relief for the Jacks. He pitched the last two innings and only gave up two runs. Matt Pace and A.J. Avery both hit a ball a piece out of the park.

www.whsathletics.org would like to congratulate the Jacks on winning the 8AAA title. The 8AAA district tournament begins on Thursday, April 20, 2006 in Hamburg. The Jacks will play Saturday, April 22, 2006 @ 6:00 p.m. Come out and support your Lumberjacks.
