Jr. High Boys Defeat Dogs

The Warren Jr. Jack Boys celebrated a victory January 3, 2006. The victory came against the Star City Bulldogs by a final score of 31-24.

 

The Jr. High started the night off by winning the tip-off.

jHowever, they were unable to take control on their first possession. Star City got on the board first with a free throw. With only five seconds left in the quarter Derrick Hampton stole a pass, and carried it down the floor for 2 points giving the Jacks a 2-1 first quarter lead.

 

Steven Brown got the second off quick for the Jacks by picking off a pass and bringing it the length of the court for two. With 4:46 remaining in the half, the score was 4-1 Jr. Lumberjacks.

 

Early in the third Dusty Funderburg carried the ball inside for a power bucket. Jonathan Lee went to the line with 3:14 left in the quarter. He hit one of two free throws. Later, he would add two more. The third quarter ended with the Jacks in command 18-6.

 

Star City got the first four points of the fourth. Early in the quarter the Bulldogs looked like they would give the Jacks a scare. The Jacks held on though by the score of 31-24.  The next game for the Jr. Boys is against the Dollarway Cardinals at Dollarway on January 17th, 2006.  Come out and support the Jr. Jacks!!
